“Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come-In the volume of the book it is written of Me—To do Your will, O God.’” (Hebrews 10:7)
Finding the perfect will of God to follow it or do it remains a nightmare for many. This is because it is not an easy thing to achieve normally. The Scripture here is showing us where to uncover the Lord’s will. “It is written in the Book” – the Bible, mainly.
There are things that are written in the Bible that show us what God wants or expects of us. Some are the general will of God for everyone and others could be seen as His will for an individual. There are some also that one can personalize and follow, and it works the same way.
1 Corinthians 10:11 says “Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come”. Note that it is not always that the Lord will speak audibly to us. Even if He does, it will have a basis in the written Word. Let the written Word guide you into God’s will.
🙏 PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I pray that the Bible will come alive to me and that You will open my eyes to see what is Your will for me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
