READING: Ephesians 4:20-32.
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
True Christianity involves a great transformation. One that has truly encountered the Lord Jesus Christ does not remain the same. That person undergoes a change that eventually becomes real to himself, and then visible to all who knew him. This change is spiritual and a gradual process that leads to that wonderful transformation.
However, one has to play a role in bringing it on himself. It happens as we subject ourselves to “beholding the glory of the Lord as in a mirror.”
Where do we encounter this glory? It is in the Word of God.
As we focus and meditate intensely on the Word daily, the Spirit of the Word works in us and affects us, changing us practically into what the Word declares.
One could be a Christian but not experience this transformation if that person does not spend time in the Word. Romans 12:2(a) says “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind….” As you allow yourself to be impacted by the Word, you will gradually become the image of it. Remember that is also part of your being a Christian, waiting to happen in you. Jesus is coming again!
🙏 PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I Pray for the grace to be in Your Word daily and for the Word to affect my life. I declare I receive the transforming power of it, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
