READING: Genesis 1:1-31.
“Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” (Matthew 8:5-8)
We have a powerful treasure we need to hold so dear and make full use of. It is the Word of God. That centurion showed us what we can allow the Word to do in our situations. Remember he was not even a Jew but a Roman soldier.
He must have seen or been told about how our Lord Jesus Christ just spoke and things changed. Or he simply believed after meeting someone who had encountered such a thing. We are in the same situation as him. We too have read about what the Lord Jesus did, we have heard or may have seen and witnessed how people received miracles through the Word of God.
All these should be the basis for us to know that the Word has power to change things. Believe that the Word can work today for you too. Take advantage of the power of the Word, even in the physical absence of our Lord Jesus and permit His Word to affect your situations. Jesus is coming soon!
🙏 PRAYER: Dear Lord God, I believe your Word. I’m praying for the grace of opening up to the Word to work in my life and all my situations, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
