READING: 1 Kings 3:5-10.
“Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.” (Psalm 25:4-5)
Human as we are, we are limited in knowledge; we do not know everything. We discover very little of new things by chance, and the rest mainly by research and learning. However, the key to getting the right knowledge is by being taught the right things. This is because all kinds of knowledge abound on everything around us, some good and some evil.
This is the danger everybody faces; receiving and learning the wrong things! The psalmist, very much aware of what prevailed, prayed to the Lord to teach him what was best. That is, His truth and His ways. The purpose was to help the psalmist make the right choices.
This is what we all need to do; ask the Lord to teach us what we lack. It is a key to anyone who wants to be on the right path in this life, in the face of all the evil being forced on us as information now.
The big question is, who is teaching you and what are you feeding on?
You need discernment on what you are receiving, and that it would be beneficial by the grace of God. Remember, Jesus is coming soon!
🙏 PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I pray in Jesus’ name for discernment to differentiate between the good and evil in the things I am reading, seeing and hearing all around. Amen!
