READING: Luke 18:1 – 8.
“As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:16-17)
Consciousness of God and absolute trust in His power to save and, not in other things, will make us call on Him in prayer. A spiritual person, like the psalmist, learnt that the life we live here on earth is constantly under threat from one thing or another. It may be spiritual or physical; unseen or seen.
We learn that to stay safe from those dangers, is to stay in touch with Heaven all the time – through our prayers. This is where divine protection that the psalmist wrote about comes from. This is good news for us too.
Praying in the evening, morning and noon is a lifestyle that is intentionally cultivated. We need that for such a time as this. How to do it practically is this: it must be on one’s mind constantly. So stay in touch with Heaven from now on. It may not even be long prayers. It is possible. Grace is available. Jesus is coming soon!
🙏 PRAYER: Dear Father in Heaven, I pray for the spirit of prayer in these times. I ask for grace to constantly engage the Heavens with my voice in prayers, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
