Ministry longevity and sustenance is an inside job. The Ministry is not a sprint, but a marathon. You must have something within you to go the long distance thus spiritual stamina is needed for ministry. There are mant challenges, difficulties and hindrances in ministry, yet you have to outlast them all. One of the secrets of my survival in ministry is reliance on the grace of God, and intentional development of spiritual stamina and strength.
Nothing discourages me!
Nothing breaks me down!!
Nothing scares me!!!
The day you become weak on the inside you will be defeated on the outside. In 2026, build a strong spiritual life. Be committed to prayer and feeding on God’s Word. I listen to a minimum of four hours of faith building messages a day, it’s vital to train yourself to depend on the Lord.
In 1992, I discovered a library in Koforidua called Firm Foundation Library. I could sit there Monday to Friday during school vacation and be feeding on God’s Word, and most afternoons after school I would just walk in to read and study. This has now become a lifestyle.
There is no way you will be weak on the inside if you daily feed on God’s Word.
Unfortunately many Pastors only read to preach. We should not only read to preach, but read to live and out of that overflow, we preach. There are times I check into places with my Bible simply to listen to faith-filled messages. You can survive any storm in life and ministry by building spiritual stamina. You can beat down any enemy or foe assigned to derail you, by developing spiritual stamina.
I draw comfort from the Word. Nothing can be done without the Word. All the complaining about ministry and the hardship is because you are not loaded in the Word. God created the world out of nothing except His Word, so I concluded that I too, could also create my world with the Word.
In my previous post entitled Ministry Sense, I spoke about the necessity of prayer, however, in this post I want to encourage you to build inner stamina and strength through the Word. Listen to messages on church growth,, prayer, faith, prosperity, favour, success, consecration, the life and ministry of Kenneth Hagin, the rapture and many more. For you will soon manifest what you have been repeatedly listening to. Grow your faith in life and ministry by constantly feeding on God’s word
