READING: Mark 9:17-24.
“Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” (John 6:28-29)
What to do and how are regular questions in this life. When it comes to what to do for the Lord, many would ask these same questions. Here, our Lord Jesus Christ shows us the way that to work for God starts with believing in Him and what He says concerning us.
If you study His words carefully, you will realize that, amazingly, God has confidence in us. He believes in us that we can do some things for Him and also for others. We will do them only by believing we can, as He says. It means embracing His Word, and doing them.
Note that most of God’s work comes to us by His Word or instructions through His servants. We are not able to do (beyond wishing) because the enemy makes us to not believe what the Word says we can do. When He says “you can go”, you have to believe it. When He says “you can preach”, you have to embrace it. When He says “you will pray for the sick and they will be healed”, you have to believe you can. May you receive the “can do Spirit!” Remember, all things are possible to them that believe. Jesus is coming soon!
🙏 PRAYER: Dear Father in Heaven, I receive the grace to believe the Lord Jesus always and what the Word says about me. I ask for the ability to act on what it says, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
