READING: Acts 8:26-39.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)
Success is what every normal person seeks in this life; success at every level and in all respects. In that quest, many have devised ways to attain this great desire. Some work to some degree and others amount to nothing. We are here being shown how to achieve guaranteed success through meditating on the Word of God.
What power does the Word have to bring us so much success? The Word is of God and has power from Him to accomplish things. Words from His mouth are creative; they bring things into being. It was by His Words that all things were created (John 1:3). So when we focus on the Word, we see things it is capable of making happen unfolding.
The Word is also a living Word. Therefore, the more we meditate on it, the more it will bring us into contact with things already made available by God. It becomes the pathway to what is already there in existence. Besides all these, the Word can never go wrong; only in the right direction can it lead us.
Learn to spend time, quietly meditating on the Word of life. Jesus is coming again!
🙏 PRAYER: Dear Father in Heaven, please grant me the ability to desire and to daily meditate on Your Word. Please direct my mind and my heart to Your living Word, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
