READING: John 10:10-16.
“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.” (John 10:14-15)
Security is one of the main things almost everyone considers as a priority in life; security in all aspects and every area of our lives. However, one major area that needs the most attention is that of spiritual security. We need it for our souls which vitally requires a shepherd.
We need a good shepherd over our souls because the spiritual realm is invisible to us; things in the spirit are unseen. Normal sheep without a shepherd are vulnerable and exposed to all kinds of danger. The danger every soul faces is, our adversary, the Devil. He is invisible, but very real. He operates mostly in the dark which is on our blind side, bent on destroying us. But there is good news!
What great news we have, as the Lord Jesus avails Himself as The Good Shepherd!
This is most assuring, as we are guaranteed spiritual and eternal security. We (just like sheep), are safer under the watch of The Good Shepherd. The question is, do you have a shepherd over your soul? Is the Lord Jesus Christ your Shepherd? Take advantage of this great offer and receive Him as your Good Shepherd. Jesus is coming again!
🙏 PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus, I receive you today as my great Good Shepherd. I need you to watch over my soul and lead me into eternal life. Amen and Amen!
