READING: Psalm 27:1-14.
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.” (Psalm 46:1-3)
Who has your back in this life on earth matters a lot. The reality is, it is sometimes fraught with challenging situations, some out of control. Such conditions have a way of testing your source of strength and support and where you seek refuge.
Different people depend on different things for support. Some depend on their own efforts. Some others, on governmental systems, politicians, or connections with other people, money and even some other gods. Yet all these fail in many situations. But the psalmist had found one: The Almighty God; “The Refuge and The Source of strength” in times of trouble. He can handle any kind of crisis. His will and mighty power prevail always.
No matter what comes, there is no cause for alarm if through Jesus Christ, God Almighty is your Father. He is God all by Himself. Everything bows to Him. His power to keep and to deliver you surpasses all. So learn to put your trust in Him in these times. Remember Jesus is the Saviour of the world and He is coming again!
🙏 PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are my God. I declare You are my Refuge and Strength in times of trouble, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
