READING: 1 Samuel 23:1-13.
“Behold, my eye has seen all this, My ear has heard and understood it. What you know, I also know; I am not inferior to you. But I would speak to the Almighty, And I desire to reason with God.” (Job 13:1-3)
In this life, we are seeing and hearing many things that affect us positively or negatively. Things happen that we lack understanding of. Most times, people play major roles in how these things impact us. However, we can learn something from the man Job; learn to go to God and talk to Him about those issues when they come up.
It is part of life to have different views and understandings of the same matter by different people. Some may be accurate and some may not. But we must not be swayed by the influences of men against the knowledge of God, His will and His purposes. Theirs may be wrong and costly.
The truth is there are several things we never pray or ask God’s will about.
You will be surprised how, for instance, we go for what is “trending” in the media (not all are bad though) and fall for them without talking to God. We sometimes just follow, but realize later that they are not as we believed. If we are really children of God, let us have regular conversations with God on what ultimately affects us and not leave Him out. We stand to gain. Jesus is coming again!
🙏 PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I pray that grace will empower me to make use of the opportunity You have given to me, to pray about almost everything. I ask for revelation on things that are arresting my attention, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
