READING: Psalm 39:1-13.
“And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, “O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!” (Ezekiel 37:3-4)
In dire or difficult situations you need to be careful what comes out of your mouth. Today’s Scripture is a classic example the Lord set as to what to say in hopeless situations. His question was to give the man an opportunity in pronouncing the end of that hard situation. Unsure, yet as a wise person, he threw it back to the Lord God for the solution.
It is vital to often resort to God; turn things over to Him when you are uncertain. You then position yourself to hear what God has to say. In such situations, only one person’s word matters: God’s! He knows the end from the beginning. He knows the right answer to everything. His Word overrides all. Note how the Lord put the right words in his mouth to declare.
So go to Him in prayer, or in the spur of the moment, ask the Lord for what He has to say. A word of direction will spring up. This is the key that unlocks the impossible circumstances; speaking the Word of the Lord. In addition keep searching for what the Word says about different situations and use them when they arise. It is still the Word of the Lord and it will work. Jesus is coming soon!
🙏 PRAYER: Heavenly Father, please deliver me from my own tongue and careless speech in challenging times. Always help me with what to say, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
