Pray for the people
‘If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.’ 2 Chronicles 7:14
Mighty and able Father, we lift up the people of Sudan before You. The precious people You ordained to be born in that land. Father God, keep them for Your glory. Reveal to them, their true spiritual identity in Christ Jesus. Lord, bring unity amongst the tribes and may they all seek to live peaceably with one another. Holy Spirit, comfort the people who have suffered tremendously. Bring a resolution, bring back Your grace to this land O God. People have experienced unspeakable pain and injustice, so we look to you Abba, for justice and for mercy and for truth to reign. Cause the people to be for each other and not against one another. Cause brotherly love to arise again, and for all to follow the words of Jesus to love their neighbour as themselves. Father, restore love, kindness and gentleness even in the midst of such brutalityand coldness. Nothing is impossible with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pray for peace
‘I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.’ John 16:33
Everlasting Father, Prince of peace, we beseech You today, let Your peace that surpasses all understanding reign down over the whole land of Sudan. Jesus, from the north, the east, the south and the west, may Your Spirit of peace cover the entire land. Let an overwhelming peace fall. Let the people in power lay down the arms, the anger and evil intent. Let the influence of darkness be dissipated in Jesus’ mighty name. Let mothers go to the market again, for men to work in the fields and children to play safely in the streets and learn once again. We declare Your peace over Sudan. Let your glory fall! Raise up people who will stand for you again in Sudan. Transform that land by Your Word and be glorified. Amen and Amen.
Pray for Christ to take pre-eminence
‘For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”’ Romans 10:13
Father God, pierce the heart of the Sudanese people and may Christ take center stage. Turn every heart of stone into a heart of flesh for Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May testimonies arise of hearts being softened towards Christ Jesus in this season. Mighty God, we ask that Christ be lifted up in that nation, for there is none who saves but Christ. Let leaders repent and turn to Jesus and let the people hunger and thirst for Christ. Let their hearts be changed, knowing that their own efforts have not improved things. May they collectively turn to Jesus and have the eyes to see His power and saving grace. Lord, do it today. Have compassion on these people and their pain. Thank You for restoring this land back to Christ and reconciling the people unto Yourself once again. You are full of mercy and great love Father, and we thank You so much for Your lovingkindness and tender mercies. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pray for hope
‘Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.’ Romans 12:12
‘There is hope for your future, declares the Lord, and your children shall come back to their own country.’ Jeremiah 31:17
May the Lord of all hope cover the land and the people of Sudan. May they look to You for help and answers. Knowing only You can change hearts and minds. May the people grow tired of calling to others who can’t bring solutions, and ultimately turn to the King of kings and Lord of lords. Holy Spirit, let Your mighty wind remove all dark obstacles and scales from the eyes of the people of Sudan. Let Christ conquer the spiritual barrenness in the land and restore the joy of His salvation to every man, women and child. Sudan will arise to give God praise. Sudan will overcome every influence of satan. Sudan will turn to Christ as Nineveh too repented, from the least to the greatest. Sudan will bow to Almighty God and be saved. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you
Your prayers and intercession for Sudan are much appreciated and heard bt Almighty God. We know that as we commit this nation, its leaders and people to God in 2026 and beyond, He will heal their land and cause peace to reign.
