A life of study
Somewhere along life’s journey you will be called to study. Study for exams, study for work purposes and generally studying the world around you. Formally or informally. For enjoyment and personal growth, or for better opportunities and job development.
Know that you can present your studies to the Lord asking for guidance, to recall all information and to find favor. In biblical times, study was part of life. Individuals and families would study the Word of the Lord. The religious leaders would almost gloat over their knowledge of the Law, and were often rebuked by Jesus for this – have a humble purpose to your studying. Do not lord your credentials and qualifications over people. Figures such as Paul and Daniel dedicated years of study and learning, to know God and the times. In fact all major Prophets and godly Kings sought to study the Word of God diligently. Studying is to benefit yourself and others. The wisdom you acquire, share and bless others.

Bible verses
Here are some Bible verses that can support your study endeavours:
‘Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’ 2 Timothy 2:15
‘As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.’ Daniel 1:17
‘For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel.’ Ezra 7:10
‘With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding.’ Job 12:13
‘The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.’ Proverbs 4:7
‘Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.’ Proverbs 1:7
‘After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.’ Luke 2:46
Study declarations
May the Lord God expand your capacity to study and retain all you read and see.
May you always operate with godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
May you extend grace to yourself, knowing whatever the outcome – your value does not decrease based on results. God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask or think according to the power that works in us. The power of Christ Jesus!
May you succeed and prosper in all that you do. Remembering you are a lifelong student of the Word of God, regardless of age and experiences.
May you go into every examination with boldness and courage, knowing God is able to bring all things to your remembrance and show you favor.
As you study to show yourself approved know God is ordering your steps and His Holy Spirit is teaching you all things.
Amen
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your dear son and daughter as they go through this study season. Gracious God, set aside all fear and worry, and may Your servant go into every exam full of confidence and knowledge. Father God, in the same manner that You filled Daniel with all wisdom, knowledge and understanding – fill Your children today! May no examination overwhelm them, but instead let Your presence bring peace and reassurance. Whatever happens, they are loved and valued by You. May they know that their life is in Your mighty hands. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
