May we lift up our brothers and sisters in this nation to the Father.
A prayer of thanksgiving for the Congo
Mighty God, we know You are good and we know You are kind. We have seen Your faithfulness towards Congo and Your many acts of mercy. O faithful Father, may Your hand over this land never leave. Bless the people from the north, south, east and west. Watch over every man, woman and child. Let Your glory and presence remain in Congo. Lord Jesus, may Your compassion and care extend over every inch of this nation. Raise leaders who stand for You no matter what. Raise leaders who will care for the people like a shepherd watches over his sheep. May Your Spirit keep every person and comfort them in the face of life’s challenges. Cause this people to be great and to overcome all things by Your grace. Thank You for this nation. Thank you that Your eyes are over all the people. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Pray for the peace of the Congo
Heavenly Father, we pray for the peace of Congo. Lord God Almighty, we pray for unity and grace to stand against the god of war. Lord, our brothers and sisters here have endured so much. Loss, death and injustice – but we know Your mighty right hand will bring a wind of favor. May all those who seek to bring discord and destruction to this nation be under Your judgment. And may those who seek the peace and prosperity of Congo be blessed. May peace reign in this region. Peace internally, and peace with their neighbors. May You Jesus, the Prince of Peace, convict the people to stand for peace and not strife. Lord, going forward let Congo experience Your divine peace and safety. Let Your light banish all forms of darkness. Free Your people from terror and exploitation. May they know peace. Transform this land for Your glory. Amen and amen.

A prayer of revival in the Congo
Holy God, may there be a big revival in the land of Congo. May the people seek You en masse. May they lay aside their own wisdom and knowledge, and follow Your Word and Spirit. Help Your people stand against what You hate, and be on the side of good! May the people choose Christ. May they call upon You for mercy and direction and divine wisdom. For Your Word guarantees that when we call upon You, You will answer and show great and mighty things. Show this nation what happens when the people come together to worship You, to plead for breakthrough and stand for truth. In Jesus name. Amen

A prayer for the children of the Congo
Precious God and King, we lift up all the children in Congo. Father, on their behalf we pray that the adults and leaders around them will care for them tenderly. We pray for every boy and girl for a future of education, stability and prosperity. Holy Spirit, keep the young ones who are the future and legacy of this great land. May they grow in wisdom and stature. May the children of the Congo always find favor with man and with You, loving Father. Teach the children to be bold for Jesus, for You say that Your kingdom is for them and to not forbid the children access to You and Your Word. Precious Lord, teach all the children Your truth, give them wisdom and knowledge. Lead them by Your sweet Holy Spirit and keep them from the evil one. We cover each and every child in Congo under Your wings and pray for protection, health and safety. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray for the leaders of the Congo
Abba Father, we pray for the leaders of Congo for the grace to lead. May they lead like king Jesus, remembering that the first shall be last and the last shall be first. May they fear the King of kings and Lord of lords. May they remember Nebuchadnezzar, that You O God, raise up the humble and bring the proud low to the ground. Surround the leaders with advisers and people like Daniel and not people like Haman. Spirit of the living God, may each leader remember they will give an account to You one day. Give them the grace to lead with love and compassion, and not a heavy hand. Rid every leader of the temptation to rule unjustly and to only favor the rich and mighty. But enable them to look out for the poor, the widow and the fatherless, the orphan and the sick. For those who help the poor and least lend to You God. You always repay those whose give to the vulnerable. So help the leaders led in love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
